The Sun (Surya)
Being the king of all planets, it reigns supreme. It is brilliant & emits light incessantly. Having FIRE as its element, it is the giver of strength and is the prime cause of Birth and Death. In Astrology, it is the soul (Aatma) itself. It is the main governing factor of Patience, Valour, Dignity, Knowledge, Virtue, Health, Money and Power. The JATAKA (subject) acquires Truth, Action, Desire, Intellect from the Sun. It exhorts Man as superman, when the sun, betows upon him the Divine glow, the sense of devotion, pilgrimage, compassion and righteousness. Official honour get global recognition under the influence of the sunt both to males and females equally. The sun, overall shapes Destiny. To propitiate the Sun, one can give, RED MASOOR in Alms (Daan).

The Moon (Chandra)
In Astrology, the moon is regarded as the Queen of the planets. As such, it is related to overall governance. It is the Lord of Mind and mental activities are governed by it. A strong mind makes the man of character. The moon exerts influence and lends the JATAKA (subject), Respect, Wealth, Dignity etc. Women in particular are overbestowed by the influence of moon physically. The Moon, also signifies character & Peity. In conjuction with other planets, it acts under their influence too. It gets energy from the sun and makes JATAKA pious and kind. The benefic moon confers social recognition under its influence. If it is feeble or week, the JATAKA lacks intelligence. To rid off its malefic effect, gift of "SILVER" is advised.


Mercury (Budh)
in the life of a JATAKA, if moon represents Mind, MERCURY stands for Knowledge, Wisdom & giver of Social recognition. A person may be wise but under Mercury's influence, he could rightly apply the intelligence, whenever it is required. Mercury, while alone, goes selective in doing good or bad according to prevailing "Bhav", but in conjunction with other planets, it acquires their properties in itself. Venus (Shukra)
In comparison to planets, VENUS is more radiant (brilliant). It governs "the way of living" of the JATAKA. Venus symbolises "LOVE" and under its domain comes Music, Fine Arts and Literature. Mars(Mangal)
Mars is the Commander (Senapati) among the planets. It is the giver of strength to Life. In Astrology, it is generally portrayed as an evil planet. Under its influence, a person may be prone to good or evil. It exerts its influence both ways, "Good and Bad", but generally it is auspicious to the JATAKA . Being the "Son of Soil" (Bhoomi Putra), it generally brings Good Luck to people especially related to land issues. It revolts against social disorder and virtually stands for amity and good will always. Mars rules both the physical and mental aspects of human life. Gud and Red Cloth when given in gift (Daan) remove the evils of MARS.

Jupiter (Guru)
Jupiter reighn Supreme among the planets. It is the sign of Knowledge, Intelligence, Justice, Character and Wealth. At every step in Life, Jupiter is the guiding force. Overall it represents Social recognition, Self - control, Compassion and Love. A weak Jupiter makets JATAKA egoistic. To ward off its evils, gift of yellow cloth and collection of an old person's bones are advised.

Saturn (Shani)
Saturn is important in every walk of life. It is the sign of a sound mind, healthy body, austere thinking and the will to sacrifce. It lends a scientific approach to life and assists a person to achieve his best aspirations and imparts a judicious approach to life. Eminent scientists and great seekers are saturn's product. To overcome Saturn's evils, a person should gift Mustard oil, iron materials and Black Gram (Urad daal).

Neptune & Uranus (Rahu - Ketu)
Both of these are shadow planets and in human nature shadow plays a very important role. Neptune is affectionate but it is selfish in nature and exerts influence all of a sudden. It makes people go on a pilgrimage. It has a mixed influence and is quite powerful. When the circle of moon intercepts Neptune or Uranus, Eclipse occurs. A planet in retrograde position gives inauspicious results, while in exhaulted position it is ominous and gives good results.
A planet is again benefic when placed in BASIC TRIANGLE, but exerts lesser effect when it exists in a higher plane. Thus a planet placed in its corresponding "Zodiac Sign" is very auspicious and fruitful. Planet placed in the same house is quite auspicious if they are friendly to each other but if enimical in nature, certainly, they bring distress and sorrow to the JATAKA.
